Śūraṅgama Sūtra

大佛顶首楞严经

The Śūraṅgama Sūtra is regarded in Chinese Buddhism as a profound and essential text on the nature of mind. Through a dialogue with Ānanda, the Buddha guides the way to the true, unchanging nature of mind behind the six senses, teaches the causes of confusion, and gives the long Śūraṅgama mantra as a means of protection and concentration.
